An American weather reporter and meteorologist named Somara Theodore works on the weekends for the NBC4 crew. She provides weather forecasts for 103.5 WTOP Radio and NBCWashington.com. She has won an EMMY Award, which was granted to her for covering a fatal plane crash in Akron during her morning weathercast.

Theodore is a Weekend Meteorologist at NBC 4 Washington Brand Studio. She joined News4 in 2016, and at this time. Somara developed a passion for weather as a result of her upbringing in locations with a variety of seasons, including Honolulu, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York City, and Pottstown, Pennsylvania.

 

She supervised research with a NASA-funded team through Penn State during her time in college, took part in a field study in China, and evaluated data at Howard University's NOAA Center for Atmospheric Science.
